The annual Paint Iowa Beautiful program has announced their 2020 winners. The Diamond Vogel and Keep Iowa Beautiful-sponsored effort provides free paint to a wide variety of public service projects throughout the state. “The partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful allows Diamond Vogel to assist and work with many local volunteers that help build communities, making Iowa the number one state in the nation to live,” says Vice-President of Marketing, Doug Vogel. “Governor Reynolds will be signing a proclamation designating April as Keep Iowa Beautiful month and we are pleased to do our part by awarding paint to 114 community projects in Iowa.” In the 17 years of this partnership, more than 11,165 gallons of paint have been donated to more than 1,000 community projects. This year’s area winning projects include: the water tower and shelter house in Churdan; the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Denison; the exterior catwalk at the Danish Windmill in Elk Horn; various houses in Glidden; the Williams Building in Guthrie Center; the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center food pantry in Jefferson; the New Genesis Art Studio in Kimballton; the Lanesboro shelter house; and various homes in Sac City.
