The Jefferson Police Department has requested two arrest warrants for two individuals on felony drug charges following the return of test results on items seized during a traffic stop last week. According to authorities, the warrants requested are for 19-year-old Nyakuot Choul of Ames and 22-year-old Nyadhuor Deng of San Diego, Calif for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and failure to affix drug tax stamp, both class D felonies. At approximately 1:31 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on the suspects’ vehicle at the intersection of Highways 30 and 4 and located nearly 207 grams of marijuana during a probable cause search.
