It has been more than two months since patrons have been allowed to enter the Glidden Public Library, but that is set to change at the beginning of next month. City officials have scheduled Monday, June 1 as the date for their reopening to the public with some restrictions in place to reduce potential coronavirus spread. Due to the difficulty in obtaining disinfecting supplies, the library’s computers will not be available for use until at least July 1. Occupancy is restricted to 12 individuals at any one time to allow for adequate physical distancing with each visit to the library limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Facemasks are not required while inside the building, but patrons are strongly encouraged to wear one if they are able. Staff are excited to welcome the public back to the library; however, residents are reminded these plans are tentative and subject to change. Anybody with questions is encouraged to contact the library at 712-659-3781.
