The Breda City Council has scheduled a special meeting for tomorrow (Friday) at noon, and the only item on the agenda is to discuss whether the community pool will open for the 2020 season. A May 26 proclamation from Gov. Kim Reynolds, which extends the state of public health disaster emergency through June 25, allows for aquatic centers to open but only for lap swimming and lessons. On May 18, the City of Breda announced they had been planning to open the pool for the summer on Friday, June 5. However, the council will need to reconsider those plans following the governor’s proclamation. The public is invited to attend the meeting remotely by phone. Details on how to do so can be found included below.
