Supervisors To Discuss L.O.S.T. Election And Canvas Primaries Monday

In addition to their regular agenda items, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors will canvass the June 2 primaries and discuss a special election at Monday’s meeting. The board will begin with a report from County Engineer, Zac Andersen, concerning secondary roads, followed by a review of recent planning and zoning law changes and the approval of payables. The City of Carroll has requested the supervisors approve a special election within Carroll and the unincorporated areas of the county to remove the sunset on an existing Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) to be used on proposed renovations at the Carroll Rec Center. The board is also scheduled to review and discuss a 28E agreement with their partners in the Rolling Hills Mental Health Community Services Region. They will close the meeting with a canvass of the recent primaries, approve manure management annual updates and hear reports from supervisors regarding their respective committees. The Monday, June 8 meeting begins at 9 a.m. and will be livestreamed via YouTube. The full agenda and details on how to attend that meeting remotely or to submit questions can be found included below.
