The Wall Lake City Council has given the go-ahead for the 75th annual Farm Festival scheduled for August, but the final decision on if it will be held falls to the organizing committee. Clerk, Chris Rodman, says city officials broached the topic at Monday’s meeting and explains their role in the event.
This year’s Farm Festival is scheduled for Aug. 14 and 15 and planning for the event is underway. However, Rodman says it is too early to say for sure what it will look like based on his conversations with organizers and local health officials.
The two-day celebration includes live music, community contests, beer gardens, carnival rides and more, and they are hoping to keep as many of these events in the schedule as possible. Rodman says they have heard from a lot of people already wondering whether the event will be held.
People will not need to wait long to get a final answer. Brandon Aschinger, one of the chairmen for the event, expects they will release additional information regarding the 2020 Farm Festival by the end of the month.
