A Manning man faces a felony charge for allegedly throwing his keys at a child’s face. According to Carroll County District Court records, 55-year-old Thomas Patrick McManigal was issued a summons to appear June 10 for one count of child endangerment causing serious injury, a class C felony. An affidavit from the Manning Police Department alleges sometime in late May or early June of 2019 McManigal had thrown his keys at the victim’s face, chipping a front tooth and causing lacerations to their top and bottom lips. Authorities say dental records show the injury caused pulp exposure and the tooth to become necrotic. His initial court appearance has been scheduled for Thursday, July 16. A class C felony carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison and $10,00 in fines.
