The City of Auburn has issued a boil order for all residents effective immediately and until further notice. City crews identified a water main leak on Tuesday that drained the community’s water tower. Once service has been restored, officials are recommending resident boil any water to be ingested for at least one minute or use bottled water. This includes for making ice, brushing teeth or washing eating utensils. The water can still be used for bathing, laundry and other similar purposes.
