Sandra L. (Scheutte) Lappe, age 65, of Vail, IA, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison.
A private funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Rev. Ben Dose of Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia officiating. Casket bearers will be Sandi’s family members.
A public graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Arcadia Cemetery. Those in attendance at the cemetery are asked to abide by Covid – 19 Social distancing guidelines.

Sandi, as she was known to most was born August, 12, 1954 in Carroll, IA, and was the daughter of LeRoy and Jeanette (Preyt) Schuette. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. She grew up in Arcadia and graduated from Ar-We-Va High School 1972. She attended nursing school and then worked for General Electric in Carroll. She then worked at K-Mart and Gibsons in Carroll. She moved to Omaha where she worked for Toys R Us and Target. She moved back to Carroll and then to Vail and most recently worked at Walmart. Sandi enjoyed buying purses, gardening, horses, and spending time with her family.
Sandi is survived by her children: Nicole Schafer (Shawn) of Omaha and Brian Forke (Lindsey Bryan) of Omaha; four grandchildren: Lucas Leinen, Tyler Schafer, Ayden Schafer, and Brady Forke; her special friend and companion Rod Niehaus of Vail; two brothers: Doug Schuette (Lisa) of Arcadia and Ross Schuette (Michelle) of Arcadia; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Jeanette Schuette.
