DMACC Carroll’s Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappans are working with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) to collect as many cheek swabs as they can to continue building the number of potential matches for people who have a blood disease or are in need of stem cells.
On Tuesday, March 4, Phi Theta Kappans will be at the DMACC Carroll Campus in the Knott Commons from 9:00am-4:00pm to assist you through the donation process. Please use the link below to answer the questions, ask any questions of your own and then swab your cheek if you so choose. Most people finish this process in 15 minutes – quick and easy!
If you are unavailable on Tuesday, you can come to the student services office and ask for Val, and she can help you with this any time during the week of Mar 3-7.
You must be between the ages of 18-40, as research shows these cells are the most healthy and have the highest likelihood of successful transfer to the person who needs that transfusion.
Please call DMACC Carroll if you have any questions, 712-792-1755.
Thank you for your consideration of this worthwhile project!
