This is Homecoming week for the IKM-Manning School District, and a full slate of activities have been scheduled, right up until Friday night’s 7 p.m. game against the Missouri Valley Big Reds. The community is invited to attend the special pep rally on Friday afternoon, beginning at 1:15 p.m. in the IKM-Manning High School gym in Manning. Doors will open for the rally at 12:45 p.m. The coronation of the 2017 King and Queen will take place during the pep rally, and about a half hour after that ends, around 2:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., the Homecoming parade will begin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for the processional through downtown Manning. The Homecoming dance will be held at the conclusion of the game. The Homecoming Court was announced last Thursday night. King candidates are: Austin Ahrenholtz; Dillon Hansen; Marshall Hansen; Carter Irlmeier; Jared Johnson; and Eli Riessen. Queen candidates include: Cassidy Branning, Lillie Ceminsky; Paige Gaskill; Kia Rasmussen; Payton Sporrer; and Shyanne Sporrer.
