Kids have an opportunity this weekend to take a trip to the past as part of the Pioneer Day at the Log Cabin in Lake View. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 114 Crescent Park Dr., children of all ages can join in a fun presentation which showcases what life was like living on the prairie. The free, two-hour event features a variety of fun crafting stations. Participants can step into prairie life by getting hands-on and trying out the daily chores of Iowa’s past.
