Highlights from 2017 and the plans for 2018 for one of the area’s most visited recreation areas, Ledges State Park, will be the focus of a conversation Thursday, Jan. 18 at the Boone City Hall auditorium. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will take a look back at the previous year’s activities, programs and partnerships, providing an update on the campground renovations, the Canyon Drive repairs and boat ramp projects. They will also give a preview of the plans for improvements in 2018. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the presentation starting at 6:30 p.m.
