As we near the close of 2019, Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, says they are seeing the library renovation nearing completion. This means an end to disruptions at their offices on the west end of the Farner Government Building.
He says as they look back over 2019, their major crime numbers are remaining low. There may, however, be some minor increases in other areas.
Though it may seem like there is more crime, the reality is likely that there is simply more reporting of crimes in Carroll and the surrounding communities. This, Burke says, is not a bad thing.
Burke adds there are no major initiatives planned for 2020, but he is pleased with his staffing right now.
Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more on the year-end numbers as they become available.
