CHS Students Donate More Than 2,500 Rolls Of Toilet Paper To Family Resource Center To Begin Homecoming Week

Rather than participate in traditional homecoming pranks, a group of Carroll High School (CHS) students has instead donated thousands of rolls of toilet paper to a local non-profit organization. Several weeks ago, the Carroll Police Department announced they would be taking a strict, zero tolerance policy concerning students TP-ing homes. According to Tiger Vision instructor, Chelsea Bissen, she was approached by several students and parents following that announcement with an idea to collect the toilet paper, which may have been obtained for uses beyond its intended purpose, and donate them to the Family Resource Center. Officers Patrick McCarty and Jeffrey Nichols responded to the Carroll Athletic Stadium at 7:45 p.m. Monday evening and “seized” approximately 2,500 rolls of toilet paper. The students will take the donated items to the Family Resource Center, where they will be distributed to families in need from the surrounding area.
