The 14th annual Fall Affair, a fundraiser for the Family Resource Center in Carroll, was held Thursday night at Rueters. Executive Director, Tim Nichols, says they had a tremendous turnout and a big dollar amount of donations to report.
Nichols says this is the largest amount raised in his three years with the organization and the most well-supported event he has seen in all of his years of working with charitable fundraising.
The traveling party is hosted by a different Carroll business each year and includes music by All Strings Attached and food and drinks by HyVee.
And Nichols says there were some pretty fabulous silent and live auction items that were purchased by attendees Thursday night.
The proceeds from this event go toward supporting their services for disabled individuals in 23 counties and to people right here in the Carroll area who are in need of a hand up, maybe with their housing or utilities costs, food and necessary supplies needs and more. Now that they have the Fall Affair completed, the team will be working to bring some holiday joy to those in need in our area.
