Small businesses have been one of the major targets of cyber-predators, comprising 71 percent of all ransomware attacks in 2018. Western Iowa Networks (WIN) has partnered with the Midwest Data Center, Farmer’s Telephone Company, Griswold Communications and Farmers Mutual Telephone Company to bring together area business and IT professionals and help arm them with the tools they need to prevent an attack and teach them how to recover if one should occur. The first annual Cybersecurity Conference will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Carrollton Conference Centre. There is no charge to attend, but registration is requested. This can be done through the contact point included below or it can be done from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the day of the conference.
