Carroll first responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident Saturday on the east end of Carroll. The Carroll Police Department reports they were dispatched at approximately 9:53 a.m. to the collision at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Maple Street. A 2012 Lincoln MKS, driven by 93-year-old Donald Halverson of Carroll, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that had pulled onto the highway from Maple Street. The driver of that vehicle, 70-year-old Richard Wuebker of Arcadia, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. No injuries were reported but disabling damage was done to the Halverson vehicle.
