WHO’s RVTV has been on the road all this week, traveling and tailgaiting around the state in advance of the Iowa/Iowa State game this Saturday. The team, comprised of Sports Director, Keith Murphy, along with John Sears, Mark Freund, Today in Iowa anchor, Andy Fales, and Chief Meteorologist, Ed Wilson, will be rolling into Rockwell City later this (Wednesday) afternoon. The community of slightly more than 2,000 is getting ready to offer them a very warm welcome. The tailgate party will take place in the Rockwell City square and will feature a beer garden, a band and activities for children. One of the organizers, Tom Highler, reminds everyone to park at the fairgrounds and to remember to come decked out in their team colors. The fun kicks-off with the RVTV broadcast at 4 p.m. There will also be a Chamber chili cook-off, a pop tab challenge and food available throughout the afternoon and evening. There will be a cutest baby contest at 5:15 p.m., the Honor Guard will perform a special 9/11 patriotic salute at 6 p.m. and there will be a sweet corn eating competition at 6:05 p.m. And the RVTV crew will broadcast from the square again at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
