The weather was less than perfect for the Sauk Rail Trail Spring Ride fundraiser Sunday. However, according to association member and one of the organizers of the event, Dr. Frank Greteman, the turnout was phenomenal.
The 40-mile paved trail runs between two lakes—Swan Lake in Carroll County and up to Lake View and Black Hawk Lake in Sac County. It offers more to the area than most people know.
Greteman says he is dedicated to making the Sauk Rail Trail one of the best in the state and is impressed with all the area provides in support.
Fundraising totals have not yet been reported. Winners of the bicycle raffles were: Emma Meredith, who won the fat tire bike; the Cannondale went to Sally Brown; the Mic Ultra Bike to Donna Brown; and the specialized roll bike to Kenny Scwanns.
