Senator, Joni Ernst, has announced she will be hosting a town hall meeting in Jefferson at the end of the week as part of her sixth 99-county tour. Beginning at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 6, Ernst will be at the Greene County Community Center at 204 West Harrison St. and will be available to take questions from constituents about the issues most important to them and share updates on what is happening in Washington, D.C. The senator has hosted a town hall meeting in each Iowa county every year since she took office in 2015, and Friday’s visit to Jefferson will be her 13th stop on her 2020 tour. Ernst is up for re-election in November with five Democrats campaigning for their party’s nomination to challenge her: child welfare attorney, Kimberly Graham; retired U.S. Navy Admiral, Michael Franken; real estate broker, Theresa Greenfield; businessman and teacher, Eddie Mauro; and West Des Moines realtor, Cal Woods.
