Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, says preventative measures were taken at the Carroll Walmart Wednesday night after rumors of a possible riot became known. At the time of this report, absolutely nothing had occurred at the location on Kittyhawk Avenue and U.S. Highway 30 West in Carroll, but Walmart officials did make the call to close the store as a safety measure. Burke says they have been and will continue to monitor the location. Walmart is expected to reopen at their normal time Thursday morning at 7 a.m.
