Carroll County General Assistance Director Resigns In Lieu Of Termination

After several different closed sessions, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors accepted an employee resignation on Monday morning. Auditor, Kourtney Irlbeck, read the letter submitted by Rosie Stotts.

Her role as far as the county is concerned is as General Assistance Director. Rolling Hills has determined that they will not fill their portion of the vacancy, it will be absorbed into another department. Chair, Rich Ruggles says they have developed a general statement on the resignation.

Since this division of duties would make it a part-time position with Carroll County, the board determined they would like to evaluate whether or not the position would be put out for hire or if it could be assigned to another county department. Dean Schettler asked about the ability to review and assess at the same time.

While they seek direction and advice from County Attorney, John Werden, and evaluate the program needs, calls and emails will be forwarded through the Auditor’s Office to ensure that anyone who is in need of these services has availability.
