Today (Tuesday) marked the first day on the job for the new Sac City Chamber Main Street Executive Director, Haley Davis. Davis, a Carroll native, is a 2013 alumna of Carroll High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Biology and master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Buena Vista University. After her first day on the job, Davis says she is thrilled to begin sharing the many benefits of the community she has called home for nearly two years.
Prior to accepting the executive director position, Davis served as the assistant director of student activities at BVU. Davis says the skills and lessons learned during her time there will serve as an excellent foundation for expanding Sac City’s Chamber Main Street.
Davis plans to spend the first few months settling in and getting better acquainted with business owners and residents. She says she will begin developing long-term goals for the community once those relationships have been established.
With in-person meetings difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Davis is encouraging Sac City residents to reach out to Chamber Main Street by telephone at 712-662-7316 with any question or concerns they may have. When not at the office, Davis and her husband, Greg, enjoy walks with their dog, Eddie, visiting family and spending time out on the water.
