Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carroll announced today (Tuesday) they have joined the growing list of senior care facilities in the state placing limitations on visits to residents. According to Regency Park Administrator, Jim Feauto, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has issued a recommendation to nursing homes in Iowa to limit access to residents to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, and he says they have chosen to indefinitely suspend visits in the best interest of their clients. Regency Park will announce once the restrictions have been lifted. As of Tuesday, eight cases of the novel coronavirus have been identified in Iowa, seven in Johnson County and one in Pottawattamie County. Test results from 11 other individuals are still pending at the State Hygienic Laboratory in Coralville.
