A Kuemper Catholic High School student has been named a recipient of the Northwest Iowa League of Cities 2020 High School Senior Scholarship Program. Peyton Higby of Carroll, daughter of Jennifer and Glenn Higby, will receive $1,000 to further her education at the University of Iowa to pursue a career in law enforcement. The annual scholarship is offered to high school seniors residing in member communities who are entering a field of study that may result in employment with a city government, such as public administration, recreation science, community planning or other similar disciplines. The Northwest Iowa League of Cities is an organization of community leaders in a 27-county region. Funds used for the scholarship program are sourced through private and commercial fundraising.
